tƚɪ‿ˀɪɬ_dɑ_ɢɑˈhɑis,

that then their day would take vengeance on them

 (causing their death).

ˈwi‿ˈdləlˈyuʔwɑ               tɬə‿dɑ_χ‿ɢɑˈhɑis.

 

That is why

they were fearful,

ˀɪƚ‿kwi‿ˀálqsa,

ˀɪɬ‿kwi‿ˈˀɑlqsɑ,

ˀan‿ˀɪ́ƚ‿du‿dlá·ᵘ

ˀan‿ˈˀɪɬ‿du‿ˈdlɑ·ᵘ 

 

(so) whatever was their day 

dɪč‿tƚí‿ˀɪƚ_dá_ɢ̣aháis.

dɪtʃ‿ˈtɬɪ‿ˀɪɬ_ˈdɑ_ɢɑˈhɑis.

Even though other people ate 

mái‿maʰ‿dɪčx̣‿kʼáʰ‿dlá·ᵘ‿dɪč 

ˈmɑi‿mɑʰ‿dɪtʃχ‿ˈkʼɑʰ‿ˈdlɑ·ᵘ‿dɪtʃ 

 

their day,

tƚɪ‿ˀɪƚ_dá_ɢ̣aháis,

tɬɪ‿ˀɪƚ_ˈdɑ_ɢɑˈhɑis,

they (those who had it for a power) were afraid (to eat it).

wí‿ˀalqsá_ʔɪƚ.

That is why the people feared
