She had been hung up on a tree,                                             nək’wi•´n'ič tsá•‿ɢ̣ɛq!di´n•u,

and the limbs of that tree were too high up.                             wi´‿hɛƚt’‿hɛɢ̣wá•n‿dɛhɛl•ɛḱw tƚə‿ni´k̯ʼin.

So she took her pack line and tied it to a limb,                        wi•´‿kwi•‿hɛƚ•ɛ•́ gwədʒɛ hám•siya tƚə‿dik’i´u,

and then when she wanted to go down                                   that way, she fell, wi•´‿x̣‿kwi´'‿yu‿dúha'ya‿pq!áu,

she was just a girl when she fell from it.                                 wi•´‿má•tsi‿tú•ya‿tƚə‿t’əḿa‿gwɛɛk&  tƚə‿kwi•‿tú•ya.

Her back was broken from it                                                 wi•´‿tƚɢ̣ái‿dzu‿dəhwə́ƛʼhwi.

That is what she told about the raised water.                           x‿wɛń ‿ƚaɢ̣áwiyat’a•ná'ya
