Lolly is a bit uncertain in this interview segment about [ ha·k̯  ] but she is more sure about it in the interview segment “Fish Trap”.  It is ‘fish trap basket’ in the Milluk texts.  

It is only from Lolly that we have the Milluk word [ wa·pu ] which we also hear from her in the interview segment “Small Fish Trap”, where she explains that it is a smaller kind of, different kind of fish trap (basket), than [ ʔɪɬə̆n ] ‘eel trap basket’, which we hear from Lolly at the beginning of that interview segment.  It is also only from Lolly that we know of the word [ ʔɪɬə̆n ] ‘eel trap basket’ itself, which we cannot find in the Milluk texts, nor in Jacobs’ slip-file dictionary, as a translation for ‘basket’ of any kind, nor as a translation for ‘fish trap’ of any kind.  

In this interview segment sound file, it is only Swadesh who says [ ká·wəl ].  This word is translated as ‘pack basket’ in the Milluk texts and we hear it from Lolly in the interview segment "Pack Basket", where she explains that she thinks that it is a big (kind of) basket to pack wood with.
