112), in paragraph 14 of the text titled “Annie Miner Peterson” actually has
this word transcribed as | nə́x̣qʼawa | ‘drank’. We do not write it phonetically that way in
our table of transcriptions here, because we doubt that the [ q ] in the middle
of the word is really an ejective. In
the Milluk texts, out of all the forms of this Milluk word meaning ‘drink’,
‘drank’, this is the only form of it with an ejective [ q ]. See the interview segment “Drink” for another
